After uninstalling Vista sp1 RC1 ,in preparation for installing R2, windows update ceased working - generating the error code 80070246. is not the same thing as what I suggested: Windows Update Catlog. You should be able to download an update for any OS there... Is the update there? Oh. Is this still beta?
